Who Is Tarsem Singh?
Tarsem Singh is an Indian national currently living in the United States who faces multiple felony charges after a deadly accident that occurred in Darke County Ohio. Authorities confirmed that Singh is not a US citizen and US immigration authorities have detained him because his conviction could lead to deportation.

He used a video link to attend court while an interpreter helped him to understand the proceedings and he entered a not guilty plea to every charge against him.
Pregnant Teen Killed in Ohio Crash
Law enforcement officers tried to pull Singh over for speeding on February 16, 2026. He allegedly drove at high speed after officers tried to stop him for speeding.
Singh operated a Range Rover Velar that reached speeds exceeding 100 mph which equals 160 km/h. The chase continued for several miles until it ended with a destructive impact against another vehicle. The crash occurred on Ohio State Route 47. The collision resulted in deadly injuries which became one of the most heartbreaking outcomes from US traffic accidents that happened in recent times.
Victims: Pregnant Teen and Unborn Child
The crash resulted in the death of 17-year-old Ashlee Holmes who was pregnant at the time.
The impact force ejected Holmes from the vehicle which resulted in her death at the accident site. She lost her unborn child. The authorities established his bond amounting to $1 million because of the serious charges against him.
