Lucknow: Priyanka Gandhi Vadra is all geared up for the political battle in front of her in Uttar Pradesh. After making her debut as Congress’s General Secretary in UP, Priyanka on Tuesday got down to business with high energy and won hearts of her party members with her non-stop 16 hours session discussing the many problems, challenges and marathon strategy, which continued till 5:30 in the morning on Wednesday.
Priyanka began her hour-long seat-wise meeting in Lucknow immediately after reaching the party office, she was closeted with senior leaders and office bearers of Lucknow, Unnao, Mohanlalganj, Rae Bareli, Pratapgarh, Prayagraj, Ambedkar Nagar, Sitapur, Kaushambi, Fatehpur, Bahraich, Phulpur and Ayodhya Lok Sabha constituencies to galvanise the party’s preparations for the Lok Sabha elections.
As per the reports, Gandhi spent nearly an hour with each of worker, in discussing the strategy. In the meeting, she described the 2022 state elections as the “main target” while making no mention of the SP-BSP alliance.

In her meetings, Priyanka went for the basics, asking workers on booth-management, frequency of booth- and district-level meetings and if Congress leaders in Lucknow listened to them. She stressed that Congress could only win a seat if it had a dedicated team on every booth. She advised the leaders to work in unity and end group-ism
She asked for unilaterally support to candidates that have been chosen for a constituency, no matter what.
According to many party leaders who met Priyanka, she admitted that time was short to bring about any transformation in the organisation in UP before the 2019 Lok Sabha polls, but added a better performance can be put up by sinking differences and good candidate selection.
