Aligarh Muslim University on Friday suspended a student named Basim Hilal over his objectionable tweet on Pulwama attack.

“We’ve come to know of the highly objectionable tweet. Taking immediate cognizance he has been suspended by AMU administration. We won’t let the University be discredited. We’ve zero tolerance,”, University spokesperson Omar Saleem Peerzada was quoted as saying by ANI.

Following the terrorist attack that took place in Pulwama, Kashmir, where more than 40 CRPF jawans lost their lives, the official handle of CRPF has tweeted, “WE WILL NOT FORGET, WE WILL NOT FORGIVE: We salute our martyrs of Pulwama attack and stand with the families of our martyr brothers. This heinous attack will be avenged.”


1:00 PM Madhya Pradesh govt announces Rs 1 crore aid to martyr’s family

The Congress-led Kamal Nath government has announced a aid of Rs 1 crore to the martyr’s family. Along with the financial aid the government would also give one of the family members a job and an accommodation.

Martyr CRPF jawan Ashwini Kumar Kachi was a resident of Jabalpur.


At least 45 CRPF troopers were killed and some 20 others injured on Thursday when a van packed with explosives reportedly rammed into a CRPF bus on the Srinagar-Jammu highway in Jammu and Kashmir’s Pulwama distric. In the deadliest attack ever on security forces in Jammu and Kashmir, a Jaish suicide bomber rammed a vehicle carrying over 100 kg of explosives into a CRPF convoy of 70 vehicles in Pulwama district.

The attack took place when the CRPF was moving 2,547 CRPF jawans/officers in two convoys moving close to each other from Jammu to South Kashmir in 78 vehicles including, buses, armoured vehicles and jeeps.

The number of casualties may rise as several soldiers are still battling for life.
