The family of Inder Kaur alleged that a man identified as Sukhwinder Singh had been repeatedly pressuring the singer for marriage. According to relatives, the accused was already married and had children but continued to pursue her aggressively.
Her brother told investigators that Inder Kaur left home around 6:30 PM on May 13 to buy household items but never returned. After repeated attempts to contact her failed, the family filed a missing person complaint with the police.
Main Accused Reportedly Fled Abroad
During the investigation, police reportedly discovered links between the victim and the accused, who is said to be based in Canada. Family members, have accused him of orchestrating the crime from abroad and they said he then fled overseas, after planning the kidnapping and murder conspiracy.
