Modilie: Rahul Gandhi takes a dig at PM Modi with 'new word'

Congress President Rahul Gandhi in a press conference on Saturday morning claimed that Narendra Modi led Bharatiya Janata Party easily compromises with terrorism.

Speaking in the context of global terrorist Masood Azhar, Gandhi said that, “strictest of actions should be taken against Masood Azhar, but who sent him back to Pakistan? Who bowed down to terror and released him? Not the Congress, but it was the BJP Govt.”

Rahul Gandhi attacked Modi saying that the Prime Minister was insulting the security forces. “The PM doesn’t own India,” Rahul Gandhi said. He went on to say that, “the Indian Army, Air Force or Navy are not personal properties of Narendra Modi ji like he thinks. When he says that surgical strikes during UPA were done in video games then he is not insulting Congress but the Army.”

During the press conference, Congress chief was question about his apology letter a few days back in connection with his “Chowkidar Chor Hai” remark, to which Gandhi clarified that he had apologised to the apex court for his comments on court’s proceedings but did not apologise to Modi.

“Process is going on in Supreme Court and I made a comment attributed to SC so I apologised. I did not apologise to BJP or Modi ji. ‘Chowkidar Chor hai’ will remain our slogan because that it is the fact, that is the reality of Modi ji.”

Further, speak on party’s manifesto scheme NYAY, Rahul Gandhi said that the scheme will help revive the economy. “The biggest issue right now is unemployment and the way Modi ji has destroyed the economy. Country is asking that Modi ji you promised us 2 crore jobs, what about that? He doesn’t speak a word on jobs or farmers as he has nothing to say,” said Gandhi.

While concluding the conference on Saturday, he urged the media to invite PM Modi to hold at least one press conference before the results of Lok Sabha election, which are scheduled for May 23.
