Rajasthan: BJP rebel Gyandev Ahuja withdraws nomination after speaking with Amit Shah

BJP rebel leader Gyandev Ahuja agreed to withdraw his nomination after meeting BJP President Amit Shah, Chief Minister Vasundhara Raje and Mayor Ashok Lahoty at Jaipur airport on Wednesday. And on Thursday, he withdrew his nomination from Sanganer seat as an independent candidate after the development. The BJP has fielded Ashok Lahoty from Sanganer constituency.

Other BJP rebel leaders including Bhavani Singh Rajawat and Tarun Rai Kaga decided to withdraw their nomination and resignation too. Gyandev Ahuja said that he would support Lahoty in Sanganer. According to sources, the party’s senior leaders have promised these leaders important roles, if BJP voted to power. Polls are scheduled for December 7 in Rajasthan and results will be declared on December 11.
