Actor Ram Kapoor’s father Anil Kapoor passed away due to cancer on April 12. He was 74.

Taking to Instagram, the ‘Bade Acche Lagte Hain’ actor penned an emotional note, and alongside a special tribute by Amul, the actor wrote, “Truly speechless at the tribute that Amul has made for my father. You were a true legend dad. I miss you so much. Rest in peace.”

As per reports, popularly called ‘Billy’, Kapoor had a long-standing association with Amul, since the brand was its client from the year 1998. For the unversed, Anil Kapoor was the former CEO of the advertising agency, FCB ULKA. It was Anil who gave Amul the tagline ‘Taste of India’.

Amul also paid tribute and captioned it, “#Amul Topical: Tribute to one of the doyens of the Indian advertising industry…”

As per a report in The Hindu, Anil’s association with Amul began in 1998. It was reportedly during his time that Amul’s iconic tagline Amul: The Taste of India was coined. Meanwhile, Ram Kapoor was recently seen in Kookie Gulati’s The Big Bull along with Abhishek Bachchan, Ileana D’Cruz, Sumit Vats, Sohum Shah among others.
