Gurmeet Ram Rahim Singh’s closest aides, Honeypreet and the Dera spokesperson, Aditya Insaan are among the 43 most wanted people in Haryana for rioting on 25 August.
Violence erupted in Haryana and its neighbouring places after the self-styled godman was convicted of rape by a CBI court in Panchkula. Nearly 38 people were killed and around 250 others were injured in the incident.
Aditya Insaan is wanted for sedition. Honeypreet, who describe herself as ‘Papa’s angel, philanthropist, director, editor and actress’ on social media, is adopted daughter of Ram Rahim. There have been more arrests of Ram Rahim’s aides. The Haryana police have put out the pictures of followers who are missing.
“Following accused are wanted regarding violence in Panchkula on 25.08.2017. The identity of those giving information leading to their arrest will be kept secret,” said a notice.
Most of the accused have been identified from videos and images taken during the violence as they were seen carrying weapons.
