Akshay Kumar never leaves a chance to impress his fans. Apart from his latest release Laxmii, the actor surprised his fans on Diwali. Sharing the first look from his new project, Ram Setu, the actor shared that he wants the people to know the ideals of Lord Ram and “build a bridge to connect generations.”
Talking about the film, the actor wrote, “This Deepawali, let us endeavor to keep alive the ideals of Ram in the consciousness of all Bharatiyas by building a bridge (setu) that will connect generations to come. Taking this mammoth task ahead, here is our humble attempt – RAM SETU ! Wishing you & yours a very Happy Deepawali!”

The film is set to be directed by Abhishek Sharma, who has earlier directed films like Tere Bin Laden, Parmanu: The Story of Pokhran, The Shaukeens and others. The movie will be produced by Aruna Bhatia and Vikram Malhotra, and Dr. Chandraprakash Dwivedi will be the creative producer.
Taking to Twitter, trade analyst and film critic Taran Adarsh shared the posters from the film and tweeted, “AKSHAY KUMAR… #AkshayKumar to star in #RamSetu… Directed by Abhishek Sharma… Produced by Aruna Bhatia and Vikram Malhotra… Dr Chandraprakash Dwivedi is Creative Producer… FIRST LOOK POSTERS… #HappyDiwali”
In the first look of Ram Setu, Akshay is seen dressed as a common man in a shirt and a pair of pants. In the background, a picture of the Hindu God, Lord Ram can be seen holding his archer. Akshay, sporting a long hair look with glasses, has an orange scarf tied around his neck. The words “Myth or Reality?” are written on the poster.
Meanwhile, Akshay will next be seen in Rohit Shetty’s Sooryavanshi co-starring Katrina Kaif. He recently wrapped up the film, Bell Bottom alongside Vaani Kapoor and Huma Qureshi.
