Ranbir Kapoor Set to Film ‘Animal 2’ in 2026: With Animal’s massive success, Ranbir Kapoor fans are eagerly anticipating Animal Park. However, it looks like they’ll have to wait a little longer.
In a recent interview, Sandeep Reddy Vanga shared an exciting update about the sequel to Animal, but revealed that filming will start only in 2026.
Fans loved Kapoor’s badass look in the film, which broke several box office records.
Animal Park is expected to begin shooting in 2025, according to reports. In a recent event, the director spilled some beans on the sequel and revealed that it will start shooting in 2026. The sequel will have to wait a little longer for audiences.
Vanga said, as quoted by E-Times, “This is going to be bigger and wilder than Animal.” He further added, “The shooting of the film will begin by 2026.”

Ranbir also said, “He (Vanga) has one or two scenes ready, which he narrated to me, and they are very exciting. Now, because of the success of part one, he has the confidence and courage to go even darker, deeper, and more complex. He can do anything.”
In a recent interview with stand-up comedian Anubhav Singh Bassi for Netflix India, Ranbir Kapoor revealed that many people were unaware of the story of Animal during its production.
According to Instant Bollywood, the makers of Animal Park are likely to hire Vicky Kaushal to play a negative role in the sequel. Although there is no official confirmation of this, Vicky Kaushal is reportedly being considered for a negative role in Animal Park.
About the plot of Animal Park
According to a source close to the film, the story structure of Animal Park was already ready when the script was written since it was intended to be a multi-film series.
A sequel will focus on Ranbir Kapoor’s character (Ranvijay) and his lookalike, as well as Rashmika Mandanna’s character (Geetanjali) relationship with Ranvijay.
