Ranchi’s Top ITIs: In Ranchi, Jharkhand’s capital, students who finish 10th grade have good options to learn technical skills at some of the best ITIs. These institutes train young men and women for real jobs, and big companies like Tata often come here to hire skilled people. If you don’t want to continue studies in regular school or college, joining a six-month training course in these ITIs can be a smart choice.
1. ITI Kalyan
The first important institute is ITI Kalyan. It works under the Department of Labour, Employment, and Training of the Jharkhand government. The training rules follow the guidance of the Directorate General of Training in Delhi and the Ministry of Skill Development, Government of India.

ITI Kalyan gives technical knowledge in many fields. It currently offers nine engineering trades under NCVT, including fitter, electrician, mechanic motor vehicle, turner, wireman, and draftsman mechanical.
2. ITI Ranchi
The second one is ITI Ranchi. This institute uses modern machines and equipment to train students, so they become very skilled in their work. Students who have passed 8th, 10th, or 12th grade can join here. The monthly fee is just Rs 40, which makes it easy for everyone to attend, no matter how much money they have.
3. Mahila ITI Ranchi
The third institute is Mahila ITI Ranchi, a government training center for women, located in Hehal. It started in 1975 under the Craftsmen Training Scheme and is connected with NCVT by the DGT in Delhi.

Its main goal is to help women learn skills, become independent, and earn money for their families. Women here can take courses in Electronic Mechanic, Sewing Technology, and COPA (Computer Operator and Programming Assistant).
All these ITIs hold an entrance exam in April. The exam is not very difficult, and students can pass it with a few months of study. After passing, admission is simple, and students can start their training without any trouble.
