“My husband had written the names of three people in the suicide note, but no action was taken against them, today Maharashtra Police took action, I am thankful to them. If my husband had got the money, he would have been alive,” said Akshata Naik.

The family members also claimed that they had written to the Prime Minister’s office, Cyber Cell department, Economic Office Wing, but did not get any response.

“The Republic did not pay my father Rs 83 lakh, Baba also e-mailed, but did not receive it. My father was continuously threatened. Bikers followed, people used to come and sit at home, Our phones were tapped. They had threatened to ruin my career too,” said Naik’s daughter.

“Today, we are getting support from people, but why did the arrest not happen then, we are trying to find out. When the incident (suicide) happened, I believed in the institutions and knocked on every door. ”

“Will you not bother if someone of you loses Rs 5,000 or 500,” asked Akshata Naik.

The family member also alleged that they were forced to withdraw the statement saying that had done this to take revenge.

Meanwhile, Maharashtra Home Minister Anil Deshmukh said that nobody is above the law and the Maharashtra Police will take appropriate action as per the law.
