Rinku Singh Dominates ‘Most Expensive Player’ Mitchell Starc: During the Indian Premier League (IPL) 2024, Australia pace spearhead Mitchell Starc will be at the center of attention. Starc returns to the cash-rich league after being the most expensive cricketer in its history for 10 years.

A pace attack that lacked sting last year was bolstered by Kolkata Knight Riders (KKR) by buying him for Rs 24.75 crore, breaking the all-time auction record.

Team Purple and Team Gold played an intra-squad practice match at Eden Gardens before their opening match against Sunrisers Hyderabad. Starc bowled with the new ball full tilt. However, Rinku Singh was on strike, and Starc conceded runs in abundance. As a result of Starc conceding 20 runs in the final over, his figures were 4-0-40-1.

Rinku smashed Starc for a six in the practice game. The Aussie pacer erred on his yorker and ended up bowling a full toss. Rinku flicked it over midwicket to clear the fence for six.

The two-year member of the Royal Challengers Bangalore team made his IPL debut in 2014 but has not played in an IPL season since 2015 due to injuries and prioritizing his Test career.

“It’s been 8 years, I think. Back to KKR where I was supposed to be in 2018. So I’ll be back there for the chance to pull on the gold and purple. I guess my memories are few and far between back in 2014 and 2015 with RCB but yeah, really excited to get stuck in. Obviously, a new group of players. A bunch of guys I certainly haven’t met or been able to work with before,” Starc told cricket.com.au.
