Rishi Kapoor often makes controversial tweets and later justifies them by terming it as a joke. The fresh incident happened on Sunday where in his tweet he joked about wanting a repeat of former Indian Cricket captain, Saurav Ganguly’s memorable shirtless celebration at the Women’s World Cup final, which was met with widespread disdain.

His tweet attracted several attractions from the Twitterati and most of them not for good reason. He was badly trolled on social media for posting this tweet. Many wondered if he was drunk while posting the tweet along with the image. Ganguly’s celebration came after the 2002 Natwest Cup final, in which India beat England.

On Sunday, women Indian Cricket team lost the World Cup final to England at the same venue – Lords. While the nation is upset by the loss, however, there are praises for these women in blue for making it finals and taking women cricket to another level.

Rishi Kapoor tweet came during the match on Sunday evening. Earlier, Kapoor has also slammed director Anurag Basu for Jagga Jassos failure. Ranbir Kapoor (his son) starrer film has garnered a lukewarm response from the audience despite getting good reviews from the critics.
