Should you board or deboard a train that is in motion? Everyone is aware that the response is a resounding no. However, there are still others who do engage in this behaviour. As demonstrated by this video supplied by the Ministry of Railways. It also illustrates how the involvement of an RPF jawan saved the life of a passenger in a perilous scenario while attempting to board a moving train. The government also posted a warning with the video.

The caption was written in Hindi. When translated, the sentence translates as follows: “An alert RPF jawan saved a passenger who was involved in an accident while boarding a moving train in Purnia, Bihar. Please do not attempt to board or alight a train that is in motion.”

The video begins with an image of a train leaving a station. Within seconds, a passenger is observed attempting to enter one of the train’s compartments. However, the individual fails and falls. As they begin to get drawn into the space between the train and the platform, a member of the RPF intervenes and pulls them out. The video concludes with the train stopping and them both resting on the platform.

On January 4, the footage was shared online. Since being posted, the video has had over 1.8 million views, and the figure continues to rise. People expressed their admiration for the RPF soldier.

Here are people’s reactions:

A Twitter user commented, “Salute to this @RPF INDIA Jawan who saved a life.”

“Large Salute to Our Alert RPF Soldier,” remarked a second user.

“Please require all passengers to see these movies before boarding the train,” said a third.

“This behaviour should be punished severely,” wrote a fourth.
