Una: Under the Prime Minister Kisan Samman Nidhi Yojna, farmers are receiving the first installation of Rs two thousand into their bank accounts. But in case of Una district, farmers allege that the money that they received got reversed.

The matter occurred in the Bangana tehsil of the Una district. Here, in the sub division farmers received two thousand rupees in their bank accounts, but they were, according to a News 18 report reversed from the accounts.

When the people reached out to the bank, they were told that the money that came under the scheme was returned either the same day or the next day, the report by the media house read. Neither the bank management nor the administrative officer is able to tell why the reversal took place. Other farmers in the region are afraid of losing the money in the similar fashion.

According to the report, several farmers having two hectares of land in the Bangana tehsil. On completion of the paperwork, the revenue department employees sent their online applications following the investigation. The money came into the bank accounts of the farmers but to their dismay it got reversed back.

The Centre had announced the PM-KISAN scheme in the 2019-20 Interim Budget. Under this, Rs 6,000 will be paid to 12 crore small and marginal farmers holding cultivable land of up to two hectares per year in three instalments.

Interim Finance Minister Piyush Goyal had introduced the scheme while unveiling the Interim Budget 2019 in March. Goyal had announced a relief package of Rs 75,000 crore under PM Kisaan Samman Nidhi scheme for distressed farmers who have seen their incomes stagnate because of plunging prices, barely enough to pay for loans and input costs.
