Prabhas fan at top of cellphone tower demands meeting with actor; threatens to jump

Touted as India’s biggest action thriller, Saaho starring Shraddha Kapoor and Prabhas released today. The story is based on huge empire where crores at stakes and too many villains are after it.

Director Sujeeth takes you through twists and turns before gets to the final conclusion of the film. The action thriller gets into the action mode too early in the first half. All through the initial half of the film, the narrative travels through cities trying to connect high stake robberies in Mumbai and the search of a missing black box that is the key to a fortune.

Prabhas enters the scene with a high on a dramatic fight scene that sets the stage for many more confrontations. Prabhas fits the role well, a role which is larger than life. However, the Bahubali charm is not there in this one and it is more of a far stretch ride.

The dialogue delivery of the megastar seems slow but his character more most of the part keeps the audience guessing. Shraddha, on the other hand, is glamorous but her character is not well written.

Saaho to release in IMAX screens worldwide

Shraddha is introduced as a tough cop but her character is more who needs to be saved rather than she saving the world. Also, the negative aspect is that the chemistry between the lead pair is missing.

Among the many villains, Chunky Pandey as Devraj stands out with a very convincing portrayal of his evil character. The songs are untimely placed in the narrative of the film and it only adds to the already long film. The jokes and the humor fall fat and the infusion of it fails.

Although the movie is flawed at many ends the action extravaganza with a climax compensates for them. The second half, however, picks pace but the narrative is weak that requires constant suspension of disbelief.

Overall, the movie attempts to entertain the audience and there are parts in which you feel rather feel exhausted than excited. But for all the Prabhas fans the film only belongs to them!
