Today, mothers for her son’s health and long life have kept Sankashti Chauth’s Vrat trying to please almighty Ganesh God. In the month of Magh, on Krishna paksha’s third phase, we generally see Sakath Chauth being celebrated. And it has great significance during that time.

On this day people keep Nirjala vrat to please Lord Ganesh. People worship God in the evening, puja is held during the evening time and Ganesh aartis sang out aloud.
