Samsung One UI 8.5 Update:Samsung has officially begun to distribute its One UI 8.5 update which introduces new Galaxy AI functionalities, improved animation capabilities, advanced productivity features and Android 16 improvements to multiple Galaxy smartphones and tablets around the globe.
The rollout started in South Korea this monthand currently extends to countries such as India and European nations and North American territories and various other parts of the world.
The latest software update first debuted with the Samsung Galaxy S26 lineup, but Samsung is now extending many of those AI-powered features to older flagship Galaxy devices as well.

When Will the Update Arrive in India?
Samsung started its global expansion of the service on May 11 which now includes operations in India. The company releases updates through multiple phases which results in different users receiving the update at different times based on their location and mobile network and device type.
How to check for the One UI 8.5 update?
To check manually on your Samsung Galaxy phone:
1. Open Settings.
2. Tap Software update.
3. Tap Download and install.
4. Tap Check for updates, or wait for the notification to appear.
If you are updating from One UI 8.0, the download will be around 4-4.5 GB, so make sure you are on Wi-Fi. If you were on the One UI 8.5 beta, the bridge update to the stable version is much smaller, around 480-580 MB.
Samsung also advises users to check rollout schedules and eligibility details through the Samsung Members application.
