The rules for retail mineral traders in Bihar have now become a little stricter. Under the new rules, mineral traders will be able to sell minerals only in their district. They will not be exempt from doing business in any other part of the state. The businessman will also have to display the sale rate of the mineral. If these rules are not followed, then the license of that trader will be rejected
New rules approved and enforced by Bihar Government for Mining
The system of providing the license to the mineral retail businessmen in the state has now been made online. In a meeting held under the leadership of minister Jivesh Mishra and Principal Secretary Harjot Kaur, the new rules were approved. These new rules are:
- The mineral retailers will now definitely have to provide the source of mineral extraction in order to obtain the license.
- The license for the sale of minerals to businessmen will be given on the condition that they will sell minerals in their own district.
- Traders can now store minerals up to a maximum of 30,000 cubic feet.
- It would be necessary for the business to display the price of the mineral outside the Godown.
The responsibility for the implementation of these rules has been given to the mining officials. If not, the business license will be rejected immediately when caught in the investigation.
The Department of Mines and Land has instructed the mining officials of the districts to inspect the business store site once a month. After inspection, mining officials will report online to the headquarters.

- They must first register on the official website of the department
- A mobile number and an e-mail will be required to get a license
- The application will be examined after paying the prescribed fee and will be sent to the Deputy Director, Assistant Director, Zone
- These officers will approve or not approve the application in 15 days
- The salary of the concerned officer will be withheld if the work is delayed at the level of the officer.
