The Gen-X star of Bollywood Ishaan Khatter impressed everyone last year with his performances in Beyond The Clouds and Dhadak. Looking at his amazing performances, it was quite predictable that he will soon enter the big league of Bollywood and now it seems that the time has come.
According to rumours, the 23-year old actor is all set to play the lead role in visionary filmmaker Sanjay Leela Bhansali’s next.
While the official confirmation is yet to come, the source close to the development said, “Sanjay sir was quite impressed with Ishaan in Dhadak. He has offered the role in his next to the young actor. However, the formalities are yet to be worked out. The film is still in the initial stages and Ishaan is yet to sign on the dotted line.”
Interestingly, Ishaan’s brother Shahid Kapoor played one of the key roles in SLB’s last film Padmaavat, which also starred Ranveer Singh and Deepika Padukone in the lead roles The film was a blockbuster hit and collected over Rs 300 crore at the box office. Well, if this news turns out true it’ll be the first film of Sanjay Leela Bhansali after 6 years without Ranveer Singh.
