Senior Congress leader Mallikarjun Kharge to attend West Bengal CM Mamata Banerjee’ grand opposition rally

Congress leader Mallikarjun Kharge booked for making derogatory remarks on Bhupen Hazarika

Mallikarjun Kharge will attend the grand opposition rally organized by West Bengal CM Mamata Banerjee. The rally is set to take place at the Brigade Parks Ground in Kolkata on January 19.

Top leaders like, Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister and Telugu Desam Party president Chandrababu Naidu, Rashtriya Janata Dal’s and leader of opposition in Bihar’s Legislative Assembly Tejashwi Yadav, Janata Dal(S) leader Deve Gowda, Delhi Chief Minister and Aam Aadmi Party chief Arvind Kejriwal have already confirmed their arrival for the event.

Sources have suggested that Congress Party chief Rahul Gandhi is likely to give it a miss.

While, BSP is yet to give a response to the call of participation, Mamata Banerjee had said that SP President Akhilesh Yadav over a telephone conversation had assured her of his presence at the rally.
