Days after Mulayam Singh’s younger daughter-in-law Aparna Yadav met the Uttar Pradesh chief minister Yogi Adityanath leading to speculations that she might join BJP, now Senior Samajwadi Party leader Shivpal Yadav will meet Yogi Adityanath on Wednesday.
Significantly, Aparna and her husband Prateek Yadav met Adityanath just two days after he became the CM. Later, the CM also visited a shelter home for stray animals regulated by Aparna in state capital Lucknow. There are rumors also that Aparna was planning to join the BJP.
Today’s meeting has also spiked speculations about a probable alliance between Shivpal and the BJP. Shivpal was removed from the SP following an unpleasant family feud with Akhilesh Yadav over the party’s power.
Shivpal said on Tuesday that he would bring together all party leaders who had been disregarded. Shivpal won from the Jaswantnagar constituency in the recently-concluded assembly polls. “We will not let the legacy of ‘samajwad’ (socialism) to weaken and will soon launch a campaign to unite socialists to bring them on one platform,” he said.
