St Stephan College under Delhi University, on Sunday, announced that the application process for admission to undergraduate courses on July 7 will be conducted online. Amid the coronavirus pandemic, the written test has been replaced by an online interview.

“It will not be possible for the college to call students for the written test to the campus. So, the governing body has decided to do away with it. It has also been decided not to conduct trials for admissions under the sports quota. The interview component will be held online and it will carry 15 marks and the rest of the 85 marks will be given on the basis of class 12 performance. The college will soon release a detailed notification,” Bishop Warris Masih said Hindustan Times.

The admission process will continue till July 18 and be conducted entirely online.

On the admission front, the candidate needs to complete the registration process by applying on DU’s centralized admission portal as they need a registration number generated by Delhi University to apply for courses at St. Stephen’s College.

For the online interview, students need to have a printout of the interview call letter, certificate for date of birth (10th certificate), and mark sheet of the qualifying exam.

The Christian candidates will also have to submit a letter of recommendation from the Parish Priest, duly endorsed by the Bishop of the Church or a person of equivalent/higher authority, a letter of membership of the candidate in a church and a letter of membership of both of the parents in a church.

Candidates who are applying under reserved categories will need their reservation certificates (whichever applicable). Students who have completed their qualifying examination from a Foreign Board will need an equivalence certificate from AIU if their board/examination is not mentioned in the list of boards/exams regarded as equivalent to CBSE 12th board released by Delhi University.
