Super Bowl 2023: Two weeks remain until Super Bowl LVII, the NFL’s biggest event of the year. Sunday, both the Philadelphia Eagles and Kansas City Chiefs won their respective conference championships.

The Philadelphia Eagles will play in their fourth Super Bowl after defeating the San Francisco 49ers 31-7 in the NFC Championship Game. Super Bowl LII was the last game of the 2017 season for Philadelphia, and the team won its lone Super Bowl title by defeating the Patriots. After defeating the Bengals 23-20 in the AFC Championship Game, the Chiefs have qualified for their first championship game since losing to the Buccaneers in the 2020 season.

State Farm Stadium in Glendale, Arizona will be the site of the match. The stadium will host its third Super Bowl, and its first since 2015 The action of Super Bowl LVII will begin on February 12, 2023, at 6:30 p.m. ET on FOX. Typically, the Super Bowl lasts up to four hours, including the game, halftime show, and some of the best (and most expensive) advertisements of the year.

State Farm Stadium, constructed in 2006, is the home of the Arizona Cardinals. It has hosted two Super Bowls, Super Bowl XLII in 2008 and Super Bowl XLIX in 2015, but the Cardinals are not in the playoffs this year. It is the first time since 2019 that the Super Bowl venue’s home team is not in the playoffs. Malcolm Butler intercepted Russell Wilson’s pass at the goal line to secure the Patriots’ fourth Lombardi the last time the Super Bowl was played in the desert. The Patriots defeated the Seattle Seahawks 28-24. This victory ended a 10-year playoff drought for the Patriots, who had only missed the postseason once since 2004.

The NFL did not select the Super Bowl host city through the usual bidding process for the first time. Instead, the league selected the host city and the selected city submitted a proposal to host the game, which was subsequently voted on at league meetings. On February 12, 2023, Arizona will host the Super Bowl for the fourth time (Super Bowl LVII). Florida has hosted 17 Super Bowls, followed by California (13), Louisiana (10) and Texas (4). Arizona, Georgia, Michigan, and Minnesota have each hosted the Super Bowl on two separate occasions, while Indiana and New Jersey have only done so once.

This year’s Super Bowl will feature two of the best quarterbacks in the NFL. These players are Jalen Hurts of Philadelphia and Patrick Mahomes of Kansas City. Additionally, the Eagles’ Miles Sanders, AJ Brown, and Haason Reddick will see action. Isiah Pacheco, JuJu Smith-Schuster, and Chris Jones are the Chiefs defensive players to watch.
