Sushant Singh Rajput demise: Mumbai Police receives contract copy for actor's film Drive from Karan Johar's banner

Sushant Singh Rajput’s untimely demise has given shockwaves in the industry. Ever since his demise, Mumbai police has been probing the reason behind his suicide. Several people linked to the actor, including his girlfriend Rhea Chakraborty, Dil Bechara co-star Sanjana Sanghi, Sushant’s father KK Singh, among others have been called so far.

Their statements were recorded by the Mumbai Police. In connection with Sushant Singh Rajput’s death, the Mumbai Police also summoned Dharma Productions CEO, Apoorva Mehta. He reached Amboli police station to record his statement today.

As per a report in Republic, CEO of Dharma Productions Apoorva Mehta was carrying a copy of Singh Rajput’s contract with the company for the film Drive, which was asked to submit by the police. Apoorva Mehta was clicked by the paparazzi as he arrived at Amboli police station and was seen wearing a mask, with a bottle of water.

Apoorva Mehta has reportedly been working with Dharma Productions for about 15 years. The film Drive was Sushant Singh Rajput’s only collaboration with the banner, and the film finally released in November 2019 after several delays.

It was in her interview with Republic TV that Kangana had shared that she found it difficult to digest Karan Johar could not find exhibitors to sell their film Drive starring Sushant.
For the uninitiated, Karan Johar’s manager has also been summoned by the Mumbai Police. Yesterday, Mahesh Bhatt recorded his statement and he was questioned at the Santacruz Police Station.
