Sushant Singh Rajput died by suicide on June 14, Sunday. Bollywood star Sushant was found dead in his flat in Mumbai. Post mortem report has revealed that prima facie died by suicide.

The death of Sushant has left everyone in shock, he gave amazing performances in films like MS Dhoni, PK, Shuddh Desi Romance. The actor was last seen in the Netflix film Drive.

Ever since his death, several reports have been doing rounds on the internet about his mental health, manic phases and depression.

However, none of these reports has been confirmed as of now but a tragic connection has been found between Sushant Singh Rajput and Vincent van Gogh – a legendary painter who himself committed suicide due to depression.

Sushant Singh Rajput’s Twitter picture is an iconic painting ‘Starry Nights’ by Vincent van Gogh.

Van Gogh pain ted this painting while he was admitted in the Saint-Paul-de-Mausole lunatic asylum in southern France for cutting his own ear. The legendary painter is said to have suffered from poverty, mental illness and depression for years before committing suicide on July 29, 1890.

It is often said about ‘Starry Nights’ that darker colours in the painting, which was unusual for van Gogh, reflected his suicidal thoughts and hallucinations.

Apparently, Sushant Singh Rajput too could identify with the painting.

The van Gogh Gallery’s official website says this about the legendary painting: “One of the biggest points of interest about this painting is that it came entirely from Van Gogh’s imagination. None of the scenery matches the area surrounding Saint-Paul or the view from his window. As a man who religiously paints what he sees, it’s a remarkable break from Van Gogh’s normal work.”

However, it would still be mere speculation to claim that the Bollywood actor suffered from depression or manic phases. Mumbai Police has launched an investigation into his death and will, hopefully, soon reveal the real reason behind his tragic, untimely demise.
