The NCB who is probing the drug angle in Sushant Singh Rajput’s death case made two arrests yesterday. SSR’s girlfriend Rhea Chakraborty’s brother Showik Chakraborty and his house manager Samuel Miranda were arrested by the NCB after raiding their residences and interrogating them for long hours.
The Narcotics agency raided Rhea and Miranda’s house but found no drugs in their possession. Now reacting to Showik and Samuel’s arrest, SSR’s father KK Singh’s Lawyer Vikas Singh has called it a tip of the iceberg.
Speaking to ZoomTV when lawyer Vikas was asked about the two arrests that were made last night, she said, “All I want to say is that this is just the tip of the iceberg. Just imagine what all Mumbai Police is hiding from everyone and this is just the tip of the iceberg.” Earlier, Rhea’s lawyer Satish Maneshinde had earlier stated that the ‘drug’ charge is a bailable offence. When Vikas Singh was asked about the same, he told the channel, “He says narcotics charge is a bailable offence? I don’t even know what to say then.”
For the uninitiated, after the arrest of drug-peddlers Zaid Vilatra and Basit confessed their involvement with Rhea Chakraborty. NCB got involved in probing the drug-angle after Rhea’s chat with the drug dealers surfaced online. Following which, NCB had filed criminal cases against the actress and her brother for drugs conspiracy.
