Tata Sons send legal notice to Mistry for leaking sensitive information

Tata Sons send legal notice to Cyrus Mistry on Tuesday claiming he had passed confidential and sensitive information to his family controlled firms for use in a petition against theflagship holding company of the group.

“As part of the petition, without there being any requirement to do so, the petitioners have deliberately included in the petition, exhibits, confidential data, business strategies, financial information pertaining to the business affairs of Tata Sons, Tata Group companies and joint ventures (all such material being confidential and sensitive,” the legal notice reads.

The first legal notice sent by Tatas to Mistry since their bitter parting further said “such reckless failure on your part in discharging your fiduciary , legal and contractual duties has caused irreparable harm and damage to Tata Sons and Tata Group and our client intends to exercise all legal rights and pursue all remedies available in relation to such breach on your part.”

The legal notice claimed that the deliberate acts and omissions on Mistry’s part, clearly establishes that he is no well-wisher of Tata Sons and the Tata group companies.

The notice, sent by law firm Shardul Amarchand Mangaldas on behalf of Tata Sons, further demanded Mistry to cease and desist from sharing any confidential and sensitive information accessed by him.
