Tatanagar to Buxar Festive Special Train: Rail passengers moving between Jharkhand and Bihar will have a fresh choice this festive season. Indian Railways says it will run a special train from Tatanagar to Buxar to handle the rush during Durga Puja, Diwali, and Chhath Puja.
The Tatanagar to Buxar Puja Special Train will start on October 13, 2026. It should give more seats to people travelling to Patna, Ara, Rajgir, Bihar Sharif, and other places across Bihar.
Reports dated October 9 and October 10 say the service will run for several weeks. It is expected to end in late November.
Tatanagar to Buxar Special Train 2026: Timings
As per the details shared so far, the train will run once every week in each direction:
- Train number 08183: Tatanagar to Buxar
- First departure: October 13, 2026
- Scheduled final departure: November 24, 2026
- Running day: Every Tuesday
- Departure from Tatanagar: 8:30 PM
- Arrival at Buxar: 9:15 AM the following day
For the return journey, train number 08184 Buxar-Tatanagar Special is scheduled to operate every Wednesday from October 14 to November 25, 2026.
- Departure from Buxar: 11:55 AM
- Arrival at Tatanagar: 12:15 AM, after midnight
The schedule shows seven trips going one way and seven trips going back.
