Two teenagers, a girl, and a boy were found hanging inside a hotel room in Dwarka sector 17 in Delhi on Friday evening. The bodies were found at around 4 pm in a room in hotel. The duo had checked in to the hotel on Thursday. They were supposed to check out on Friday at noon.
However, when they failed to check out from the room, hotel staff knocked on the door at noon but did not receive an answer. At around 3 pm, the staff once again knocked on the door but did not receive an answer for the second time.
After this, hotel authorities informed Delhi Police, which sent a team to the spot. Soon, the police officials broke open the door at around 4 pm and found the boy and girl hanging from a ceiling fan.
The preliminary probe into the incident indicates to suicide, but notably, no suicide note was found near or inside the room. The boy and the girl are said to be around 18 to 19 years old. However, Delhi Police suspect the boy could be a few months younger than 18.
Cops have recognized the two as residents of Delhi. They have informed their respective parents. The case is currently being probed.
