Rashtriya Janata Dal leader Tej Pratap Yadav who had gone missing from Bodh Gaya a day after filing for divorce from his wife Aishwarya Rai in five months of his marriage appeared in media on Tuesday from Varanasi. Tej told media that he had gone to visit the Kashi Vishwanath temple in the holy town.
Tej believes that his family has turned against him and is supporting his wife and not him. On Friday Tej filed a divorce petition at a court in Patna citing incompatibility with Aishwarya Rai, daughter of RJD leader Chandrika Rai. After this, he went to meet father Lalu Prasad Yadav at Rajendra Institute of Medical Sciences in Ranchi where he spent over two hours.

While returning back, Tej decided to spend the night at a hotel in Bodh Gaya from where he gave a slip to his security personnel on Monday afternoon and went untraceable. During his stay in the hotel room in Bodh Gaya, Tej Pratap had spoken to some of his family members when he got disappointed and disconnected the call in the mid of the conversation and locked himself in the room.

When the security personnel standing guard outside found the doors locked for long period, they started to get worried and got the door opened with the help of another key from the hotel management only to find him missing from the room.
Much to their astonishment, the car belonging to Tej’s friend that was parked outside the back door was also missing from there. Since then, Tej’s whereabouts remained clueless.

“I had told my parents that I did not wish to marry at this moment of time. But nobody listened to me. Ours was a mismatch. I am a simple man with simple habits while she is a modern woman, educated in Delhi and used to live in a metropolis,” Tej Pratap told reporters on November 3.
