Ranchi: Jharkhand cabinet under the Chief Minister Raghubar Das has decided to give monthly honorarium amount of 1,000 per month to 17,282 people of the tribal community working similarly as Manaki-Munda-Dakuvah.

The cabinet has decided to double the amount of money given to Manaki Munda, Gram Pradhan, and Dakua.

The new people included in the group for the honorarium include Paraganit (194), Paranik (1824), Jogamanjhi (2172), Kudam Nayaki (1740), Nayaki (2188), Godait (2505), Mool Raiyat (377), Padha Raja (16), Head of Gram Sabha (6198), Ghatwal (22), and Tavedar (47).

An estimate of 42.43 crores will be spent on this project annually.

The cabinet has increased the honorarium from 1500 to 3000 rupees per month. the Village head and Munda monthly allowance are increased to 2000 from 1000 and for Dakua the amount is increased from 500 to 1000 rupees.

Eleven new categories have been added to the list of people receiving an honorarium and will be given 1000 rupees each per month.

Know the work of people who receive the honorarium

Paraganath: To guide the work of the Chief and variety of disputes settled under its jurisdiction.

Paranik: In the absence of Gram Pradhan, the main task is to complete his work.

Jogamanjhi: Performing festivals worship in village, marriage, and maintenance of unmarried villagers.

Nayaki: Perform the public prayer of the Gram Sabha.

Kuran Naiki: Act in absence of Nayaki

Godait: To inform the people about Gram Sabha.

Padhaa Raja: To protect the social law system. Presiding the Gram Sabha work as the head.

Ghatwal and Tabedar: To inspect the work of their own representatives.
