Telangana: Congress candidate against KCR in Gajwel alleges police for harassing him

Ahead of Telangana polls, Congress candidate Vanteru Pratap Reddy at Gajwel constituency taking on TRS Supremo and caretaker Chief Minister K Chandrasekhar Rao, Reddy has alleged that the police have been harassing and foisting cases against him on the directions of the KCR. Pratap Reddy told a newspaper “So far, 25 cases have been filed against me. Cops have confined me in a dark room and are working in favour of KCR. The police enter my residence under the pretext of conducting searches based on false complaints.”

Pratap Reddy further alleged that KCR’s nephew and caretaker Minister T Harish Rao is distributing liquor and money in Gajwel. He stated that the police have not taken action against Rao and his supporters, after providing evidence for their wrongdoings.

Speaking on the lines of Pratap Reddy’s allegations, Telangana Congress Chief Uttam Kumar Reddy alleged that the Election Commission and police of bias. He said that the elections should be conducted in a free and fair manner.
