In a major political development on Tuesday evening, Telangana Rashtra Samithi (TRS) sitting parliamentarian from Chevella, Konda Vishweshwar Reddy resigned from the party. Following the resignation, Reddy sent a 3-page letter to TRS party office. Konda also submitted resignation as the Lok Sabha MP.

In his 3-page letter, Konda stated several reasons for his resignation and said “I fought for the party in 2014, when the party needed. However, the party has inducted who were against Telangana and our ideology into the cabinet & given them more power and prominence. I am personally very pained at the situation I am in and hope you will understand my perspective.”

Earlier last week, Congress leader Revanth Reddy challenged KCR, over stopping two of his MPs from joining Congress.  After Revanth’s challenge, TRS leaders interacted with Konda and tried to pacify him.
