Telegram Native Apple Watch App: Telegram has brought a native app back to Apple Watch after a long break. The new version gives users more than simple alerts on their wrist. It lets them do real messaging work from the watch itself, which makes the app feel much closer to a tiny phone on the wrist than a notice board with a screen. Telegram’s App Store listing now says the app supports Apple Watch and requires watchOS 26.0 or later.

Once the app is installed and linked, Apple Watch users can read chats, browse contacts, send and receive messages, listen to voice notes, view stickers, watch GIFs and videos, and share live location from the watch. The setup starts by scanning a QR code with Telegram on the iPhone. The sign-in process is similar to Telegram Web or the desktop app. If the user has cloud password turned on, there is an extra verification step too.
This is a bigger step than the old watch setup Telegram had years ago. Telegram first offered Apple Watch support in 2015. Its older blog post said users could see recent chats and reply with stickers, locations, emoji, preset phrases or dictated text. It could also show profiles, start new chats, and even block users. That earlier version was later dropped, which left Apple Watch users without an official Telegram app for years.

The new release gives Telegram a proper native watchOS presence again. That matters because many users had been depending on notifications or third-party apps just to check messages on their wrist. With the official app back, Telegram now gives Apple Watch owners a cleaner and more complete way to stay in touch without pulling out their iPhone every time.
