Thane: 15-year-old boy allegedly kills elder brother for scolding him over PUBG

The highly sensational online multi-player battle game PUGB has taken a toll over the youth. In a bizarre incident, a 15-year-old boy allegedly stabbed his elder brother to death for scolding him over playing the game. The incident came to light from Bhiwandi, Thane on Saturday, June 29.

Going by the several media reports, the accused boy flew into rage when the victim, Mohammad Shaikh, asked him to stop playing the game on his mobile phone on Saturday morning.

The 15-year-old allegedly banged his brother’s head against the wall and started stabbing him with scissors. The deceased was taken to the hospital where the doctors declared him brought dead.

The accused has been booked under Section 302 (punishment of murder) of the Indian Penal Code (IPC).

This is not the first time when the PUBG addiction drove the player to take extreme steps. A similar incident came to light from Hyderabad’s Malkajgiri area in April where a minor committed suicide allegedly after his mother scolded him for playing PUBG. The 16-year-old hanged himself from the ceiling fan of his room.
