Last night, the spectacular pre-release event for Adipurush was held in the holy city of Tirupati. Prabhas and the complete cast were present. The highly anticipated final trailer for “Adipurush” was also unveiled and released at the event, to which everyone responded enthusiastically. Putting aside the trailer and buzz surrounding Adipurush, it appears that the Adipurush team is deliberately ignoring Saif Ali Khan, who will play a crucial character in the film.
When the first trailer for the film was published a few months earlier, everyone criticised Ravana’s costumes and visual effects. The Adipurush team has since reworked the VFX, and if we observe the new trailers, we can see that, with the exception of a few images, the team has not revealed anything about Ravana’s character.
Even at yesterday’s pre-release event, Saif Ali Khan was not present, and no one from the Adipurush production unit mentioned his name. Even Prabhas mentioned Krithi Sanon, Sunny Singh, and Deva Dutta Nage, but he neglected to mention Saif Ali Khan, who played the role of Ravanusara. This appears to be a deliberate strategy by the Adipurush unit to conceal Ravana’s identity.
Om Raut directs the modern adaptation of the epic Ramayana, Adipurush, which is produced on a colossal scale by Retrophiles’ Bhushan Kumar, Krishan Kumar, Om Raut, Prasad Sutar, and Rajesh Nair. In the film, Prabhas portrays Lord Ram, while Kriti Sanon plays Janaki. Sunny Singh portrays Lakshman, while Deva Dutta Nage portrays Lord Hanuman. Saif Ali Khan, a Bollywood actor, will play the role of Raavan. The release date for Adipurush in theatres is June 16, 2023.
