The Raja Saab Sabotage: In an shocking allegation, famous Telugu film producer and distributor Sreenivas Kumar Naidu, known popularly as SKN, has accused a Tollywood producer of trying to derail the much-awaited Prabhas-starrer The Raja Saab. SKN claims that this very person was responsible for starting what can only be described as a first strike of “negative campaigns” focused on damaging the film’s reputation and ultimately its box office run before it even hit theaters.
The Raja Saab Sabotage: What’s The Allegation?
SKN said during a recent podcast interview that there are individuals who just cannot handle Prabhas’ extraordinary fan base and stardom. He claimed that one of the senior producer was in daily and ongoing efforts to push false narratives, spreading misleading rumors, and planting stories to show The Raja Saab in a negative light across all media outlets.
SKN did not reveal the name of the producer but suggested that the same person has a track record for “unethical practices” each time a competitor film appears to be a winner. His defense was that the goal in creating such a campaign was to distract the audience, sow confusion and demoralize the crew that was working on The Raja Saab.

What Is The Raja Saab?
Expected to be a romantic horror entertainer, Raja Saab is one of the most awaited Telugu films of 2025, with pan-India Prabhas laying the cards of love and horror. Directed by Maruthi, the film is expected to see a different Prabhas, with a different tonal quality compared to his recent action-heavy blockbusters. The film will star Malavika Mohanan, Nidhhi Agerwal and Riddhi Kumar in lead roles with Thaman S as music director.
From the moment its teaser and first looks released, audiences have been eager to see Prabhas in a more light-hearted, comedic and romantic space, a zone he’s somewhat eschewed in entertainment industry the past few years.
Fans Reactions
SKN’s statement was met with a backlash from Prabhas’ highly organized fanbase, a significant portion of whom descended on social media in order to defend the actor and attack any efforts to soil the film’s name. Hashtags such as #WeStandWithRajaSaab and #StopNegativeCampaigns soon started trending on X (formerly Twitter), showcasing fans’ anger with the toxic politics of the industry.
While the industry’s response has largely been to ignore the issue, a handful of insiders have confirmed that such rivalries in Tollywood are not uncommon, particularly when major stars such as Prabhas are concerned.
The Raja Saab Success
In spite of these purported attempts at sabotage, The Raja Saab has still gone on to be one of the most anticipated Telugu films. The team is now wrapping up post-production, with the movie set to release into theatres later this year. The excitement is still palpable, and plenty of people pointed out that SKN’s provocative statements themselves might have oddly drawn more eyes to the film.
Prabhas personally has not responded to the controversy yet, as a response, his team has kept their eyes on the prize of a clean entertainer that caters to the mass audience as well as the family audience.
It could take several more weeks before we find out if SKN is going to name the campaign’s producer, or produce any further evidence of an alleged campaign. One thing is certain that The Raja Saab would definitely be one of the most-talked Tollywood films, and fans are anxiously waiting to see how it will shape up on the big screen.
