Mukhiya of Ilami panchayat in Jharkhand’s Pakur district, Misfika Hasan has a formidable reputation across the state. Her sheer belief in serving people in village catapulted her into the politics so much so that she went on to become BJP state spokesperson in Jharkhand.
Panchayat chief Misfika Hasan and former advocate general Anil Sinha was appointed by BJP as state spokesperson on September 01, 2018.
As soon as Misfika joined BJP, she was laced with bodyguard facilities.
BJP State President and Member of the Lok Sabha Laxman Giluwa has nominated the Misfika and Anil Sinha. The talks of Misfika joining Bharatiya Janata Party were already making rounds but her appointment seems to have disappointed few senior party leaders. The BJP leaders feel that many senior and active leaders have been ignored.
With this appointment, now Jharkhand has seven BJP spokespersons in the state. However, Misfika’s appointment as a state spokesperson has given ways to ruckus inside the party. The present spokespersons for BJP in Jharkhand are, Jebi Tubid, Praveen Prabhakar, Pratul Shahdev, Dindayal Barnwal, Rajesh Shukl, Misfika Hasan and Anil Sinha.
Born on November 10, 1990, the 27-year-old Misfika was researching on Cancer in All India Institutes of Medical Sciences (AIIMS) before jumping into politics. Coming from a very decent academic background, Misfika did her matriculation from Delhi Public School in Farakka, West Bengal. Later she shifted to Ranchi to complete her graduation in Bio-Technology. Then she got an admission in Delhi-based Jamia Millia Islamia from where, she completed her Post Graduation in Bio-Technology.
After the completion of her masters, she joined AIIMS to research on the treatment for Cancer. During this, her parents encouraged her to fight for the position of Village Panchayat chief. Since she always had a desire to help the needy, the decision to go for it. In the year, 2015, she won the panchayat election for Ilami Panchayat.
Ever since she held the position of Panchayat chief, Misfika has contributed a lot in the fields of education basically to educate girls. The villagers are extremely happy to have her as their leader. Her parents are proud of her motivations, achievements and determination to help the needy.
