Near the town of Aluva in Kerala, the management of a mosque is winning hearts for their humanity during the conduct of the National Eligibility Entrance Test (NEET) on Sunday.
The parents and guardians of the students who write the exam accompany them and wait patiently for them in the hot sun for hours. There have been numerous complaints over the years that no proper arrangements are made by the organizers of the examination to even provide drinking water to them.
But in Kerala, Sreemoolanagaram that is located near to Aluva, the management of Hira Juma Masjid showed how facilities are provided.
When the parents of the NEET applicants were suffering the scorching heat while standing around the Al-Ameen Public school which was the test center of the exam, the management of the mosque came out in full force to help them out. The mosque authorities also helped the students who didn’t have the required documents like an additional photograph or a photocopy by getting them done.
Apart from this, when the students went to give the exam, the mosque was open for around 400 parents and guardians to rest. That was indeed a blessing in the scorching heat of Kerala. Mats were laid on the ground as the guardians rested while their ward wrote the exam.
The mosque people also distributed tea and snacks to the visitors with their own funds. The compound of the mosque was also opened so that vehicles could be parked. The students were also given cold water by the mosque workers after they came out from the examination center.
