Tony Romo is the professional name of Antonio Ramiro On April 21, 1980, Romo was born in San Diego, California, to Ramiro Romo Jr. and Joan Jakubowski. His father was stationed at the U.S. Naval Base in San Diego. Romo Jr. worked as a carpenter and construction labourer in Burlington, Wisconsin, while Jakubowski worked as a grocery store clerk. As a child, Romo played baseball and made the Little League All-Star team.
In the 1996 season, as a junior at the public secondary school, Romo was the starting quarterback for the Burlington secondary School Demons.
