Total Dhamaal helmed by Indra Kumar is doing well at the box office even after getting a mixed response from the audience and the critics. Ajay Devgn starrer film earned a hefty Rs 16.50 crore on the opening day and Rs 20.40 crore on the second day.
The film has taken its total to Rs 36.90 crore in just 2 days, confirms trade analyst Taran Ardash. Now, the film is expecting to earn approx Rs 20 crore on Sunday to cross the Rs 50 crore mark.
Despite a non-festive weekend, the film has performed really well at the box office, courtesy its big star cast. Total Dhamaal has a huge star cast including Ajay Devgn, Anil Kapoor, Madhuri Dixit, Riteish Deshmukh, Arshad Warsi, Javed Jaffery and more. The film also marks the reunion movie of Anil Kapoor and Madhuri Dixit.
Before the release, the film was in talks because of the old song remix Mungda in the movie. Also, the makers of the film decided not to release the movie in Pakistan after the Pulwama attack.
Total Dhamaal is the third instalment of Dhamaal comedy film franchise that began with Dhamaal in 2007. The second film, titled Double Dhamaal, released in 2011.
