In a significant political development on Saturday in New Delhi, Telangana Rashtra Samiti (TRS) senior leader and Rajya Sabha MP D. Srinivas would join Congress party soon, sources claimed.
As per the sources, Srinivas met Senior Congress leader Sonia Gandhi in New Delhi and discussed the further plans regarding joining Congress.
Earlier, TRS state leaders alleged Srinivas for involving in anti-party activities and pertaining to which, he was planning to resign from the TRS before the TRS expels him, reports claimed.
Srinivas had resigned from Congress in 2015 and jumped to TRS. He has served as an advisor to the Telangana state government for sometimes, after which he was sent to the Rajya Sabha. However, in recent times, he started distancing himself from TRS.
