On Sunday, a Mumbai sessions court gave TVF founder Arunabh Kumar, provisional protection from arrest till Monday. Founder and CEO of a popular online digital entertainment channel, Arunabh is charged with molesting at least two women.
One complaint against him was from a Mumbai-based production house who alleged that he has touched her inappropriately during a meet. A FIR was lodged against him by the MIDC police on March 29. After this, he was also accused of molestation and sexual harassment in an anonymous blog post. Following the pattern, two more women alleged that they have undergone similar violation by Kumar. One complainer was an ex-employee of TVF on the basis of which a FIR has been lodged against him in Versova Police Station.
Kumar surrendered and agreed to cooperate in the investigation after the complaints were made. He, however, has denied the charges against him claiming them to be false.
