On Wednesday, Justice Mahesh Kumar Sharma, the Rajasthan High Court came out with two statements that continue to remain the most-talked about issues of the day. He asked to declare cows the national animal of the country and give them the status of a legal entity. He also sought life imprisonment to people who kill cows.

“There is no substitute for cow milk. We live on it. A cow is useful even after the death. We need its urine for medicinal purposes. Its bones are useful even for tantric purposes. These suggestions that I have made are from my soul,” said Justice Sharma.

However, later in the day, he said that peacock happens to be the national animal of India, as it is ‘celibate’.

“Peacock is a Bramhachari and it does not have sex with a peahen. The peahen gets pregnant drinking the tears of the peacock. Even lord Krishna carried the feather of a peacock on his head”, Justice Shrama said.

His statement has been trolled widely on Twitter and other social media sites. Some people are responding hilariously to it, while some seem to criticise the statement deeply.

Here are a series of tweets that people posted after the statement came out.
