Tyson Fury and Arslanbek Makhmudov Fight: Tyson Fury is coming back to the boxing ring once again. The former heavyweight world champion will fight Arslanbek Makhmudov in the UK on April 11 which will be shown live on Netflix. It will be Fury’s first match since he lost his second fight against Oleksandr Usyk in December 2024. After that loss, Fury said he was retiring, but only one month later he decided to return.
Fury, who is now 37, said he still belongs in boxing. He shared his feelings clearly and said, “Excited to be back. Heart’s always been and always will be in boxing. Someone go tell the king that the ace is back!” This fight will also be special because Fury has not boxed in the UK since December 2022, when he beat Derek Chisora in London to keep his WBC title.

Who is Makhmudov?
Arslanbek Makhmudov is 36 years old and was born in Russia but now lives in Canada. He has won 21 of his 23 fights. His last fight was in October when he defeated British boxer Dave Allen. His only losses came against Agit Kabayel and Guido Vianello. Makhmudov is confident about this match and said, “I am thrilled about the opportunity. I’m coming to deliver a war. Tyson Fury has been a big champion. I will be more ready than ever to leave with a massive W.”
Fury’s boxing record stands at 34 wins from 37 fights. He has won 24 fights by knockout. He has lost two fights and drawn one. Fury became world champion twice in his career. He first won major titles in 2015 after beating Wladimir Klitschko. Later in 2020, he claimed the WBC title by defeating Deontay Wilder. But he has never held all world titles at the same time.
Big plans
This comeback fight is getting extra attention because it will be streamed on Netflix, which has around 325 million subscribers worldwide. This shows how popular Fury is beyond boxing fans. Even though his promoter Frank Warren usually works with DAZN, Fury was allowed to fight on Netflix. Warren supported the decision and wrote, “Tyson wants to return to the throne and I’m 100% behind him.”

Fury has been training in Thailand for this comeback. He has been sparring with Kevin Lerena, the WBC bridgerweight champion. The fight is backed by Turki Alalshikh and will take place under The Ring Magazine banner. This will be Fury’s first UK fight after three straight bouts in Saudi Arabia.
Fury has also said he wants to become a three-time world heavyweight champion. He still hopes to get revenge against Usyk for his two losses in 2024. A future fight against Fabio Wardley is also possible. Wardley currently holds the WBO title and has said he is open to facing Fury.
