Objection Process

The provisional answer key is released specifically so candidates can take a look and point out, if they think something is potentially incorrect. If a candidate feels that a response marked by NTA is wrong, they’re able to submit an objection through the official challenge window.

1. Login to the official UGC NET portal.

2. Open the answer-key challenge facility.

3. Select the question against which the objection is being raised.

4. Choose the appropriate challenge option.

5. Provide supporting justification or documentary evidence, wherever required.

6. Pay the prescribed processing fee.

7. Submit the challenge and retain the confirmation for future reference.

For the challenge process, the reported processing fee is ₹200 per challenged question, and the fee is non-refundable.

What Happens After Objections?

After candidates submit their challenges, NTA will have the representations examined by subject experts. If a challenge is seen as valid, the provisional answer key might be revised, not just left as is. Then NTA will prepare the final answer key which will actually become the foundation for preparing the results.
