In a bid to curtail use of unfair means by students, new software has been designed to check the menace of copying in the Uttar Pradesh board exam 2019 scheduled to begin from February 9 next year.
The software has reportedly detected fake registrations. Due to which the board is all set to nix registration of more than 12,888 students appearing for UP Board Exam 2019.
According to reports, UP board has decided to prepare a list of schools based on proper infrastructure including fire extinguishers, CCTV cameras and other facilities.
Once the merit list is finalised, schools having the secured the maximum marks will be considered for examination centres.
“Owing to efforts of the UP government, use of unfair means has stopped, and the number of students studying in government schools has increased by 18-20 per cent,” Deputy Chief Minister Dinesh Sharma told PTI during an interview in Lucknow.
While 8071 centers selected for the UP Board Examination, a total of 57.87 lakh students to take the exam.
UP Board Secretary has issued the tentative exam center information for the exam which is going to be held from February 7, 2019.
The UP Board 2019 date has also been released earlier that is February 7, 2019.
