Faizabad renamed Ayodhya: After naming Allahabad as Prayagraj, Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath announces Faizabad to be known as Ayodhya now onwards, The CM declared the new name of Faizabad district during a speech in Ayodhya on the eve of Diwali.

This declaration of Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath today in a Diwali speech from the holy city was revered by millions of Hindus as the birthplace of Lord Ram.

“Why are those protesting the change not named Raavan or Duryodhan? Why didn’t their parents name them ‘Raavan’ and ‘Duryodhan’ in that case? In this country, the name holds a lot of significance,” said Yogi Adityanath on Monday in his speech.

“We have come to assure you that no power can do injustice with Ayodhya. Every Indian knows what Ayodhya wants,” he said, alluding to the construction of the Ram Mandir at the disputed Babri Masjid-Ram Janmabhoomi site.

He also announced that an airport will be built in Ayodhya and it would be named after Lord Ram and a new medical college will be made and it will be named after Raja Dashrath, the father of Lord Ram
